stranger things have not happened!

if you have not read my previous post then READ THAT FIRST.. or u shant appreciate this one.

so .... after sittin in the shop for ages... and showing lynette my pictures on shutterfly, i set off for ruhi. its raining. i dint bring my umbrella. i call lynette to see if she has one rather than going back to the shop to ask, she doesnt answer her fone, i still decide not to go back to the shop. i cross the road to subway, they dont take eftpos, theres no atm in the building, im late i give up on the idea of dinner, i cross the road, t0 7/11. i talk to the gurl there a while, i decide not to buy anything, and i go down to the train station, all these decisions that i made lead up to this very moment.

as i walked to my usual waiting place, something i saw out the corner of my eye made my heart skip a beat and my stomach flutter... yes .. thats right... it was her ... jade... the one i complained about having bad timing! well .. i take that back... we both had immaculate timing...

i was a nervous wreck in the beginning .. i kept it all in though .... my stomach was swirling and my heart pounding, and as i glanced in her direction to double check she looked me in the eye, and i half smiled... but .. u know what ...she quickly turned away and hid under her semi transparent head scarf and slowly started walkin away from me. .. hehehe... yes i was more that a lil discouraged, and i wondered if it really would be horrid of me not to respect her wishes to remain annonymous, when she was so obviously trying to keep alow profile. while i contemplated this , a group of youth were glancing in her direction and lookin at each other quizzically, while i decided that this was not an opportunity to be missed.

it felt awkward deliberately following someone, but when the train arrived, i followed behind her and when we were on the train i just started talkin to her.. and i was really pissin myself that first sentance i said.. but after that , it was fiinnne... lol . .shes really nice, dint give me short curt answers.. u know .. and actually it was me who had to cut her off cuz i had to get off .. haha ..which is betta than the opposite .. and she smiled at me wen i left and sed it was nice talkin to me...hehe .... crazy craziness...... damn ..... the trains go every 2-3 mins C R A Z Y !!! href="http://photobucket.com/" target="_blank"> i love the way she talks, mabby some ppl thinks shes dumb cuz shes used words like "dwelve" "brunetteness" and "deciferation" but i think its awful cute!


and a week from tomorrow .. im gonna see peaches! yeeha..... life is good!

by the way.. she sez she neva went to bookaburra to buy a toothbrush holder... LOL... but she did remember mikko after a lil thinkin.

and u know it was mikko who first alerted me to the fact that jade was here at all cuz she saw her at her job.. (not sure wat she does... something with fashion and models) and has a pic of jade and herself.... and i wouldnt have thought that that was jade otherwise i dont think .. so mikkos like my hero right now.... she got me onto peaches, now jade... damn. lol

and this is a childrens book shop if anyone was wondering .. and she bought a princess toothbrush case ;) lol

fret fret worry PANIC!!

This morning..... i awoke with a knot in my stomach and a lump in my throat....... for 3 or 4 weeks ago, Mikko tells me .. Peaches is in concert at Zouk, but shes NOT SURE... .. but she doesnt tell me when or anything, and so i just visit the Zouk website, and the Peaches website and dont find anything... so im like yeah wateva, prob some other group/person (theres lots of groups/bands/djs hypothetically called peaches in my opinion)

And then on Saturday, i see Mikko again .. and shes like so did you check the Peaches concert .. and i was like nah.... and she showed it to me on the Zouk website ... and shes playing on the second of november... and that was in TWELVE DAYS! and i read it and theres like 800 tickets..... and at this point im sure im screwed .... and theyre closed sunday .....

And so that left monday, today ........ and i was fretting the whole day ... Peaches isnt SUPER famous, but she IS famous..... out of the 4 million people in singapore .... would 800 people know her? would 800 people LIKE her? being nervous about his prospect, i started asking my customers (had a school bookfair today) if Peaches was famous here... the first person i asked thought i was talkin about FRUIT! which made me feel a little better, (imagine how stupid she must have thought i was .. askin if singaporeans knew peaches!? and how concirned i was wen she sed she knew peaches ..) and the more people i asked (i only asked like 6 people! i wasnt being freaky! lol) the more confident i felt that i would get a ticket. but then again, this was just one school, one group of people, ....

So after work i practically sprinted all the way to Zouk, id never been there b4. it was a little confusing .. but finally after appearing completely retarded to a bar tender, i found the lil shop place... and there behind the counter was quite the cutie... but i dint realize that at first cuz i was pretty nervous.... butterflies all up in my belly .... so ... really apprehensively and anxiously , i inquired about Peaches tix. and yay! i was right! she had a fair bit left..... and i got one yay! .... (i have nobody to go with cuz all my friends here are emo losers!) and then while she was doin her thing, i had a lil chat with her .. she was REALLY nice.. its so rare to strike up a conversation with a stranger and have it feel GENUINE! .. it was REAL .. and it really made me feel extra good, cuz its something our society has lost...... and when i left, she told me to take care, and i could tell she meant it too... it was nice...mabby ill see her again..... she really liked peaches ... and .... stereotypically..... it is the gay/bi gurls who like her ... (mmmm.. yes ...jessi is still closeted ill have u know ... teehee)

PEACHES LIVE IN CONCERT BABY! HERE I COME! (alone!) LOL. also I LOVE U MIKKO!

So as you all know, today is … none other than, Friday the 13th… and I was juuust wondering … why oh why does it have such a bad rep for being a such an unlucky day? In fact the number 13 is considered so unlucky that many hotels and office buildings don’t have a thirteenth floor or room. Instead they skip right over to fourteen. It is also a fact that in America, $800 or $900 million is lost in business each Friday the 13th because people will not fly or do business as usual. But what is the deal behind all of this ??

….. so heres what I found out :

I’ll start with why Friday is considered an unlucky day:
It so happens that the day Adam and Eve were expelled from the garden of Eden was a Friday, as was the day the great flood to cleanse the world began (which Noah built an ark for), the confusion at the Tower of Babel also occured on a Friday, not to mention the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. And apparently (according to Christians) Friday was the day that witches held their “satanic” ceremonies. On top of that, some historians say that on October 13th 1307 (a Friday.. durr!) was the day that hundreds of Knights Templar’s were simultaneously arrested and later tortured into admitting the heresy. All the days these events occured on are known as “Black Fridays” And as for 13? It was said that the satanic rituals carried out by witches involved 12 witches and a devil, making the number 13. ( How dumb!)

Strangely, there is evidence to suggest that Friday the 13th is actually unlucky, but only due to paranoia (in my humble opinion). Psychologists have found that some people are particularly prone to accidents or falling ill on Friday the 13th. This has been attributed to such people feeling a heightened state of anxiety on that day, known as the nocebo effect. So now u know!
